From the 10th to the 12th July, the Hilton Brighton Metropole is hosting this year’s Develop:Brighton conference.

Develop:Brighton has been bringing together the European Game Dev community from global superstars to micro indies - since 2006. They urge you to go and learn from your peers and share your experiences, hear from the industry’s leading lights, get up-to-date with the latest tools, techniques and industry trends, and network with over 2,000 game dev professionals.

On the Wednesday afternoon, PONToon’s Senior Research Fellow, Dr Bernie C. Byrnes, is presenting the project and explaining what it is all about.

PONToon is an exciting project that uses a range of new and developing technologies such as games development, 3D/virtual reality, social media and web/mobile apps to engage, support and up-skill women in order to aid their employment opportunities. The project is centred around community development, social and economic inclusion and equality. It aims to produce a method of working that's not only scalable and transferrable but also applicable to broader demographic sets and geographical regions for continuing impact.

It is fantastic to be included in such a forward thinking event, and we wish Dr. Byrnes all the best with her presentation!
